Representatives of White Labs, makers of  Pure Brewers Yeast in San Diego, California, planned to attend the Singapore International Beer Festival 2007 in February. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to lack of sponsorship. But Chris White and JoAnne Carilli-Stevenson of White Labs decided to come to Singapore anyway. Alex Chasko, the master brewer at the Pump Room invited them to give a presentation about yeast and I forwarded the invitation to the members of the HomeBrew Club and the iBrew guys. The presentation was held at the Pump Room at 7 pm on 1 February 2007.
